Hotel Transylvania 4 misses its release date without explanation from Sony

So is Hotel Transylvania 4 on Amazon Prime Video or not? The latest movie in the series of animated movies about a group of classic movie monsters was supposed to release on October 1 after multiple delays, but the Hotel Transylvania 4 theatrical release date came and went with no explanation from Sony Pictures. Is there a Hotel Transylvania 4 Amazon Prime Video release date as planned, has it been rescheduled, and why isn’t Sony saying anything?

Hotel Transylvania 4 will be on Amazon Prime Video soon, but neither Sony nor Amazon has confirmed exactly when that will happen.

As part of a big deal between the two companies, Hotel Transylvania 4 will skip theaters and go straight to Amazon Prime globally. Unfortunately, neither company thought to inform the general audience that the movie would miss its October 1 release date — which is how it is still being marketed. Given how many millions of dollars studios usually spend on marketing movies, it’s an extremely bad move to leave audiences completely in the dark and has left a lot of customers disappointed.

Is Hotel Transylvania 4 on Netflix?

Hotel Transylvania 4 will not be releasing on Netflix and will be released to stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video when the movie finally does come out. In fact, none of the Hotel Transylvania movies are available on Netflix at all, and only Hotel Transylvania: The Series is available.

Ignoring the rising cases of Covid in the US, part of the reason Hotel Transylvania 4 didn’t come out is down to competition. The Addams Family 2 is an extremely similar horror-parody animation and that’s out this week, and Sony’s own Venom: Let There Be Carnage is also out now — to say nothing of the likes of epic sci-fi Dune and the latest James Bond movie No Time To Die, which are either out now or out very soon.
