MLB The Show 22 Game Pass Early Access

Xbox Game Pass Members Pay $50 to Play MLB The Show 22 Early But Not to Keep It

MLB The Show 22 will be launching on day one on Xbox Game Pass. Those who have pre-ordered the MVP Edition or Digital Deluxe Edition will be able to play the game four days early, but this wasn’t available for those wanting to play through Game Pass. As such, Microsoft has come up with a solution. Xbox Game Pass players can pay $49.99 for the MLB The Show 22 Xbox Game Pass Early Access Bundle, which gives them the same four days of early access to the game and a few in-game goodies but not the game itself.

What is included in the MLB The Show 22 Xbox Game Pass Early Access Bundle?

The MLB The Show 22 Xbox Game Pass Early Access Bundle gives four days of early access to the game starting today, April 1. The Bundle also includes two Gold Choice Packs, 10 The Show Packs, one Ballplayer Pack, double daily rewards, and 10K Stubs. The game itself is not included in this bundle, so if it leaves Xbox Game Pass, those who have purchased the bundle will no longer have access to the game.

It’s worth pointing out a few things about the price of the Early Access Bundle. Firstly, the standard edition of the game on Xbox Series X|S is $69.99. The MVP Edition is $84.99 and includes dual entitlement for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, one Diamond Choice Pack, two Gold Choice Packs, 10 The Show Packs, one Ballplayer Pack, double daily rewards, Cover Athlete Themed Bat Skin, Cover Athlete Profile Banner, and 10K Stubs. Taking away the cost of the game, those who purchase the MVP Edition are paying just $15 for the same amount of early access and more in-game goodies.

Meanwhile, the Digital Deluxe Edition is $99.99. As well as all of the contents of the MVP Edition, this adds a Cover Athlete Diamond Choice Pack, three additional Gold Choice Packs (total of five), 10 additional The Show Packs (total of 20), and 15K extra Stubs (total of 25K). Taking away the cost of the game, those who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition are paying $30 for the same amount of early access and more than double the amount of in-game goodies. Xbox Game Pass players are being asked to pay more money for less content and don’t even get to keep the game.

In other news, Halo Infinite developers have apologized to fans for the lack of updates since the game’s release, although fans are not satisfied with their comments. Elsewhere, the latest Xbox Insider Ring update has reinstated Twitter sharing for game clips and screenshots on Xbox consoles.
