Starfield Hundreds of Planets

Starfield Will Have More Than One Thousand Planets to Explore

Starfield will take place in the first new universe Bethesda has created in 25 years. The game closed out the Xbox & Bethesda Games Show with a 15-minute gameplay showcase that revealed just how big the game will actually be, and it will include hundreds of planets for players to explore as they please.

Prepare to spend hours exploring the planets of Starfield

The 15-minute demo started with a look at Kreet, a moon that is orbiting the planet of Anselon. Once the spacecraft had landed on the moon’s surface, players set out to find an abandoned research station, confronting strange creatures and collecting valuable minerals along the way. Upon their arrival, it is found pirates from the Crimson Fleet are using the facility and a manhunt ensues.

This was just one of the locations that will be available to explore in Starfield. We saw the capital city of New Atlantis on the planet of Jemison as well as many other inhabited areas. Not only will New Atlantis be explorable, but players can land anywhere on the planet of Jemison to explore. This is applicable to all the planets in the system, such as the barren but resource-heavy iceball of Chawla to goldilocks planets with lifeforms such as Gagarin. There are over a hundred Settled Systems, all filled with planets that can be explored as players choose, meaning there is a playground of more than a thousand planets. Players will even be able to choose where and how they set up their own bases.

Starfield will also have Bethesda’s most flexible character creation yet. Players will be able to customize many different aspects of their appearance in Biometric ID, body build, and facial features, as well as deciding on three personality traits and an occupational background that will give three distinct starting skills. Other skills will be unlocked as players level up, but these can then be ranked up by using them and completing challenges. Players will be able to get stuck in when Starfield is released during the first half of 2023.

In other news, Sea of Thieves Season 7 will add a huge customization update and cash-in points among other features. Elsewhere, Xbox and Hideo Kojima are working on a game “you’ve never experienced before”.
