Valve Talks Xbox One Vs. Steam: “It Would Take Them A While To Catch Up: We’re At 65 Million”

During Valve's CES presentation, company co-founder Gabe Newell emphasized his confidence in the future of Steam, touting its lead over competitors like Xbox.

When asked during the presentation if Newell believed the sales numbers of Steam Machines could match Microsoft's recently unveiled 3 million Xbox One sales, he cheekily replied, "It would take them a while to catch up: we're at 65 million! [Steam user accounts]." 

During the show, Valve revealed a total of thirteen different partners that will be making Steam Machines. Keep an eye out on GameRevolution for a full rundown on each of these boxes later today. Some of them look quite sleek.
