Tomb Raider Marketing Boss Leaves Square Enix

After eight years at Square Enix, marketing vice president Karl Stewart has decided to move on and part ways with the publisher after working on Crystal Dynamics' Tomb Raider reboot.

Next month, Stewart will join forces with Petrol Advertising, an ad agency based in Burbank, CA responsible for promoting a number of franchises including Call of Duty and Bungie's upcoming shared-world shooter Destiny.

"For the last 8 years I have worked with Alan and Ben at Petrol on many different projects, from Batman to Tomb Raider to Thief, and on every occasion they’ve blown me away with their vision and creativity," he explained on his blog

"So when the conversation started about  joining the company which they’ve both worked extremely hard to develop and grow, there was no doubt in my mind this was the right next step for me, as they both think the same way I do. I’m all about experiences, and this is the new experience I’m looking for right now."
