Xbox One Console Sales Surpass 5 Million

Microsoft has announced that Xbox One has sold 5 million units to retailers. According to the Big M, this figure is outpacing Xbox 360 by 60 percent when compared to the same point in the last-gen console's life.

It's important to note that the 5 million figure is in reference to consoles sold to retailers, not sold through to consumers. On the other hand, Sony has already sold 7 million PlayStation 4 consoles through to consumers, giving it a clear lead over the competition.

Console wars aside, 5 million units is hardly a figure to scoff at, especially this early in the console's life. There's no doubt Microsoft's new gaming box is doing quite well, thanks in large part to the recent release of Titanfall.
