Wolfenstein: The New Order Requires Beastly Specs, 47GB Install on PS4 and Xbox One

With Wolfenstein: The New Order arriving very soon on May 20, Bethesda and MachineGames has seen fit to reveal the game's PC system requirements on its official blog. Though not the "minimum" requirements, per se, these are the general specs "to deliver the PC game as it was intended to be experienced":

64-bit Windows 7/Windows 8

Intel Core i7 or equivalent AMD

4 GB System RAM

50 GB free HDD space

GeForce 460, ATI Radeon HD 6850

High Speed Internet Connection

Steam account and activation required

Speaking of which, for that last requirement, Wolfenstein: The New Order is available for pre-order on Steam. And if those requirements seem rather high, the installs for the other next-gen consoles are high as well.

Both the PS4 and Xbox One versions, with both supporting optional voice commands, will require a 47 GB total install. Yowzers! The hard drive requirements for the Xbox 360 and PS3, on the other hand, will only require a 8 GB install likely due to the much lower texture resolutions and such.

The Xbox 360 version includes 4 discs with one being a mandatory installation disc, while the full PSN version requires 17 GB… so clean out all those other full installs from the system as soon as you can.
