Kevin Durant Is NBA 2K15’s Cover Athelete

After having a wondrous season and being named the 2013-14 NBA MVP, Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder has been named the cover athlete for this year's annual b-ball franchise, NBA 2K15.

Lucky for him that it happens to be one of his favorite video game franchises (it's pretty much the only basketball franchise around, so I would hope so). Apparently, he even has house rules, where players must pick a team at random.

Of course, he isn't terribly surprised to be on the cover since he shared the cover with Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose for NBA 2K13, but this time his mug is gracing the cover solo. As to why, he explained in a conference call: "I begged them to put me on the cover because I really think nobody plays the game as much as I do."

NBA 2K15 launches October 7 for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
