This Mighty No. 9 Gameplay Footage Will Please Mega Man Fans

Developer Comcept has released a quick look at how its side-scrolling action game, Mighty No. 9, is coming along. To no one's surprise, it looks a whole lot like a spiritual successor to Mega Man. Is it a coincidence that Keiji Inafune, the creator of Mega Man, is the head of this project? I think not.

Check out a minute and a half of Mighty No. 9's work-in-progress gameplay footage below.

The game is still quite a ways off from release, so keep in mind that what you see here may not necessarily be representative of the final product. Mighty No. 9 is set to launch sometime during the spring of next year.
