Final Fantasy Creator Unveils New Japanese Role-Playing Game

Hironobu Sakaguchi, the legendary game creator responsible for giving birth to the Final Fantasy series as well as more recent JRPGs like the Xbox 360 exclusive Lost Odyssey and the Wii exclusive The Last Story, has just announced his next project.

It's called Terra Battle and will unfortunately(?) be coming exclusively to smartphones in Japan… at least for the time being. The game is set to launch in the region this September for both iOS and Android devices.

It's a shame we haven't gotten wind of another epic JRPG from Sakaguchi's Mistwalker Studio yet. Both Lost Odyssey and The Last Story were fantastic games, serving as worthy alternatives to those disappointed by the latest batch of Final Fantasy games. I'm sure I speak for many of you when I say that I'm glad the FFXIII​ trilogy is now a thing of the past.
