Microsoft has announced its next major update for Xbox One, which will begin rolling out as soon as next week for early access members and "next month and beyond" for the rest of consumers. In it gamers will be able to enjoy a whole bunch of new features, not the least of which includes 3D Blu-ray support. Finally!
In addition, the update adds the ability to remote download games and apps that are purchased via the web or the Xbox SmartGlass app. On top of that, the activity feed is getting an interface change, with the added option to post game clips to your feed.
Controller functionality is getting a few tweaks as well. Players will be notified by an on-screen prompt when the battery is low. You'd think that would have been included on day one, no?
