Xbox Platform Sees 14 Percent Revenue Increase

With an increase of $104 million, the Xbox platform saw a 14 percent year-over-year revenue increase, according to Microsoft's fourth quarter financial results.

As far as sheer console numbers are concerned, the company revealed that it shipped 1.1 million units this past quarter, a 10% increase over the one million consoles it shipped during the same timeframe last year. It looks like Xbox One, while not quite as popular as PlayStation 4, is still a hot item among gamers.

Just last week, the company announced that Xbox One sales during June more than doubled that of the month prior, thanks in large part to the release of the Kinect-less SKU.
