Destiny’s Six-Player Raids Are for Friends Only

Bungie has confirmed that there won't be matchmaking for Destiny's six-player raids. Instead, gamers who wish to take on these more difficult and involved missions will need five other friends to party up with.

Why? Because communication will be key. These raids won't be a cakewalk, so throwing a bunch of different gamers together who don't know each other and won't communicate won't yield favorable results. "It's a bit of a risk," Bungie's Luke Smith told IGN. "Because the activity requires you to have a group of five other friends to play with.

"The activity is going to take you and your group of five buddies into a place that you’ve never been," Smith explained. "A place that you will return to frequently. And [it will] demand of you things you’ve never even really been asked to do in a shooter before."

Will the lack of matchmaking for these raids be a problem for you? I guess I need to start making a few more friends.
