Sony Dropping Support for PlayStation Mobile on Andriod

PlayStation Mobile is effectively dead, as it appears support for Android devices is being phased out.

Sony announced this morning that PlayStation Mobile "content may not work correctly with devices that have been updated to Android OS version 4.4.3 or later." I guess the service wasn't doing well enough for the company to keep it going.

With the launch of PlayStation Now, Sony's new Gaikai-powered streaming service, perhaps the company is hoping to abandon its efforts with PlayStation Mobile so that it can focus all of its efforts on bringing Now to as many devices and platforms as possible.
