Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Not Coming to Wii U

Wii U owners won't be getting a new Call of Duty game this year, as Activision has confirmed that it will not be releasing Sledgehammer's upcoming first-person shooter on Nintendo's console.

"No, no Wii U," Sledgehammer co-founder Michael Condrey said in a post on Twitter when asked about a possible version of Advance Warfare for the Nintendo faithful. "That was an Activision decision. We are focused on Xbox One, PS4, and PC."

Sadly, it appears the lack of third-party support is only going to get worse for Wii U, as Ubisoft has no plans to release any more mature games for the platform after Watch Dogs. I guess Wii U really is going to be a place for first-party content and first-party content only going forward as we move into 2015.
