Valve Ranked Most Desirable Employer in Gaming According to New Study

The gaming industry is one of the most competitive fields in the world and a new study conducted by the International Game Developer Association says that a 2014 study has found Valve at the top of list of companies to work for.

The study itself asked "What developer/publisher would you most like to work for?" in a survey of developer satisfaction, though Valve's status in the lead doesn't do much for anyone looking to develop games under that banner. Steam's publishing service and other endeavors seem to take up most of the company's efforts these days.

Here's the list of most desirable 10 development studios or publishers to work for:

  1. Valve
  2. My own company
  3. Activision Blizzard
  4. BioWare
  5. Ubisoft
  6. Current employer
  7. Nintendo
  8. Naughty Dog
  9. Double Fine
  10. Bethesda Game Studios
