Pokemon Red + Blue Nintendo Switch versions missing

Following rumors and hype building around Pokemon Red + Blue finally coming to Nintendo Switch, many fans were disappointed to see no such announcements made during the February 27 Pokemon Presents event.

Though there were glimpses of classic gameplay in the form of Black + White, this was unfortunately just used as part of character montages for the Pokemon Masters EX mobile game.

Rubbing salt into the wound was the way that the Pokemon Red + Green soundtracks were uploaded to the official Pokemon Sound Library website (via VGC). Many interpreted this as a hint that Pokemon Red + Green/Blue would be a focus of Pokemon Presents.

Hopefully, for fans of the older games, a Pokemon Red + Blue Switch release date will be announced soon.

While there weren’t any classic games announced during Pokemon Presents 2023, a new Netflix stop-motion animated series was revealed. What’s more, there’s a fancy Pokemon TCG Classic set that trading card fans will soon be able to pre-order.
