Final Fantasy Versus XIII Won’t Be at Tokyo Game Show

Final Fantasy Versus XIII was announced back at E3 2006 along with Final Fantasy XIII as part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis (which sounds a lot like a drag queen stage name) series of games…

Where was I? Oh yeah, it's fucking 2011, and we still don't have this game. There's already a sequel to FFXIII in the works and even dated for release, yet we still don't have the one Final Fantasy fans have wanted the most (aside from a FFVII remake).

What's worse is that this game obviously isn't even close to being ready, as it's not part of Square Enix's Tokyo Game Show line-up. Instead, they're showing Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Type-0, Final Fantasy: Theatrhythm, and Kingdom Hearts 3D. Which is fine and dandy, but where the hell is Versus XIII?

As days pass, my faith in Square Enix ever returning to the Squaresoft glory days is dissipating.
