Here Are the Next Three Years of iPhones — Report

Having sustained a considerable drop in sales in recent times, Apple appears to have decided on a three-year plan to reinvent the iPhone. The device continues to bring in the majority of the company’s revenue. The proposed program includes three key designs. The California-based company plans to release one model per year, starting in 2025.

Apple set to ‘reinvent’ iPhone with three-year plan

A recent report from Bloomberg claimed that Apple is “planning three straight years of major iPhone redesigns.” Apple aims to address the declining financial performance of its premier mobile phone range with the move. Comprising three models, Apple’s scheme to reinvent the iPhone begins with the new iPhone Air. The model is slated to hit stores in September 2025.

A skinnier and lighter version of Apple’s classic iPhone, the Air model would mimic the company’s laptop range of the same name. It would provide users with similar functionality to the flagship model but with shorter battery life and a single rear camera. The release of iPhone Air will also coincide with the debut of iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. All three are set to launch later this year.

The second phase of Apple’s plan to reinvent the iPhone will begin with the unveiling of the iPhone Foldable. The model is currently on track to reach stores in 2026. Labeled ‘V68’ in the company’s internal circuits, Apple has yet to share much information about the model. Nevertheless, the Bloomberg report suggests that the foldable iPhone will feature as many as four cameras, with production set to begin early next year. While this suggests a fall 2026 release for the iPhone Foldable, Apple has not yet confirmed an official date.

Lastly, Apple plans to introduce a “curved glass” design for the iPhone. Apple plans to release the model on the 20th anniversary of the original iPhone’s launch in 2027.
