Nvidia is changing the game once again at CES 2026. Instead of just dropping new graphics cards, they are focusing on making the hardware you already own much more powerful. The tech giant is leaning heavily into “Physical AI” and smarter software to boost performance across the board.
Whether you play on a high-end rig or stream through the cloud, these updates are designed to make your gaming experience smoother, faster, and more realistic than ever before.
Nvidia announces new GeForce NOW apps along with DLSS 4.5
The biggest news for PC gamers is the debut of DLSS 4.5. This new version of Deep Learning Super Sampling introduces a massive 6X frame generation multiplier. This means your games can run at incredibly high frame rates without stressing your hardware.
It also features a new “Dynamic” mode that acts like an automatic transmission for your PC. It automatically hits your monitor’s max refresh rate while keeping the image crystal clear and stable.
Cloud gamers have a lot to celebrate, too. Nvidia is expanding its GeForce NOW service with a brand-new native Linux app. This is a huge win for Steam Deck users and Linux enthusiasts who have been waiting for better support.
Additionally, a new “Ultra” membership tier was revealed. It gives subscribers access to RTX 5080-level performance in the cloud. You can now stream games at 5K resolution and 120 frames per second on almost any device. Nvidia also showed off G-SYNC Pulsar technology. This new tech aims to end motion blur for good. It provides over 1000Hz of perceived motion clarity on new monitors from brands like ASUS and Acer.
While there were no new physical “Super” cards announced this year, the software leaps more than make up for it. Nvidia is proving that the future of gaming isn’t just about bigger chips, but smarter AI that works for every player.
