Pokémon fans, get ready to live your trainer dreams! Japan is launching a huge outdoor theme park, PokePark Kanto, where you can stroll through lush forests, check out cute towns, and hop on rides inspired by the iconic Pokémon games. Opening February 5, 2026, the park promises a fully immersive adventure for fans of all ages.
Pokémon’s Japan theme park finally unveiled
ePark Kanto is splitting the fun into two big zones: Pokémon Forest and Sedge Town. Pokémon Forest is a sprawling 1,600-foot-long woodland where trainers can wander through different terrains and come across Pokémon from Kanto and beyond. Some areas even have a little “fitness check” before gaining entry.
Sedge Town, on the other hand, mirrors the small towns from the Pokémon games. Fans can get their hands on themed merch, catch live stage shows, and hop on rides. The showstopper so far is the “Vee Vee Voyage” merry-go-round, featuring Eevee and its evolutions, Vaporeon, Flareon, and Jolteon, plus Rapidash and Ponyta.
Tickets for PokePark Kanto are limited thanks to the hype. Adults 13 and up can enjoy rides like the Vee Vee Voyage for 1,200 yen. Kids 3–12 pay 800 yen. Little trainers under five need to ride with a paying adult. To keep things fair, tickets are being handed out via a lottery system, giving everyone a shot.
With Pokémon celebrating nearly 30 years as a franchise this year, the theme park is shaping up to be a dream destination for fans of all ages. From exploring the forest to de-stressing in the town and enjoying adorable rides, PokePark Kanto brings the games and anime to life like never before. It’s exactly what every trainer has been waiting for.
Japan is known for theme parks that bring thrilling rides and pop culture together, especially anime, games, and movies. Universal Studios Japan and Fuji-Q Highland have zones for hit franchises like Super Mario, pulling fans from around the globe. Meanwhile, the Studio Ghibli Museum and other smaller anime parks celebrate iconic films and characters.
