Mark Zuckerberg Reportedly Building His Own AI Clone

Mark Zuckerberg’s company, Meta, is reportedly creating an AI clone of him so employees can talk to their boss. A digital clone will be trained on Zuckerberg’s thoughts, tone, and mannerisms so that employees can reach out to the AI clone when in need. The experts at Meta are training the AI clone on Zuckerberg’s public statements as well as his company’s strategy to make it function at a higher level.

Mark Zuckerberg is reportedly making his AI clone to interact with staff

Mark Zuckerberg is reportedly building an AI clone to interact with staff in his absence. As per The Financial Times, the company wants employees to feel more connected to their boss and build a professional rapport. Interestingly, as per The Guardian, Zuckerberg has a history of experimenting with digitalized versions of himself.

Four years back, in 2022, the Meta chief shared his own avatar inside the metaverse. However, users publicly ridiculed it for its cartoonish graphic quality. Zuckerberg attempted to make amends by posting an upgraded version later. However, Meta has reduced its focus on the metaverse and digital avatars for the time being.

Instead, the company is channeling its focus on developing AI-generated 3D characters that can engage with humans in everyday conversations. They have begun this process by replicating Zuckerberg to create a life-like avatar of him. Zuckerberg has reportedly taken it upon himself to personally train his AI clone.

An insider told Financial Times that the makers will employ Zuckerberg’s visuals, voice, and tone for the AI clone. A spokesperson for Synthesia, a UK-based start-up, commented, “When you add realistic AI video and voice, engagement and retention go up significantly. People work better when the information they need is delivered by a familiar face or voice.”

The Wall Street Journal reports that Zuckerberg is already heavily integrating AI at Meta. He may also use a “CEO agent” to aid him in getting internal company information faster. The Meta chief is integrating AI more with the expectation that it will reduce costs and streamline work. Zuckerberg said, “We’re elevating individual contributors and flattening teams.”
