Inafune: Mighty No. 9 Pretty Much Finished

Comcept producer Keiji Inafune posted a message on YouTube wishing all Mighty No. 9 supporters a happy new year, and also that Mighty No. 9 is almost finished. Happy New Year, indeed.

The spiritual successor to the classic Mega Man games, Mighty No. 9, proved the power of crowd-funding, hitting its initial $900,000 target only two days after the campaign launch, eventually raking in over $4 million.

Inafune, who also created Mega Man, says in the message that the game is now “pretty much finished,” and in the porting and promotion stage. The game looks to be on target for a Spring 2015 release, which may be earlier than their previously-announced Summer 2015 goal.
