What Are You Playing? November 22nd, 2017

This week is another slow on for new releases, but having a lack of new things to play also means that we can dive further into our infinitely expanding backlogs. As I have a incalculable number of games on my shelf that I have yet to complete, this is only a good thing.

I’ve mostly been diving into Fortnite Battle Royale over the course of the past few days, revisiting Epic Games’ excellent multiplayer survival shooter and reminding myself that I actually probably prefer it to PUBG. While it’s nowhere near as nail-biting and the handling of its weaponry is far from realistic, actually playing a battle royale game in which you can rack up a few kills and where it doesn’t encourage you to camp out in the same house for an hour is a breath of fresh air. I earned my first doubles Victory Royale tonight, too, which was nice.

GameRevolution‘s Cody has been playing the Resident Evil Revelations collection on the Nintendo Switch, while Jason has been busy trying to complete the huge Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in time for his review (which you’ll be able to read right here, first thing tomorrow morning). He’s also been diving into the huge 3.0 update to Star Citizen, spending his Thanksgiving being an intergalactic crusader.

But what have you been playing this week? Let us know in the comments below.
