What Are You Playing? January 16th, 2019

Despite it still being freezing cold outside, January is heating up. There isn’t long before the month’s heavy-hitters start launching, but there are still some excellent games releasing this week, including the unlikely sequel Ace Combat 7.

We asked the GameRevolution editorial team what they were playing this week, and as always leave your own games in the comments section below!

Paul Tamburro, executive editor: Ace Combat 7. I can’t talk about it because of embargo fun, but I can tell you that if you like the act of flying in a plane, shooting other planes, while trying to decipher an impenetrable story about a penal unit, then this is certainly a game that should be on your radar.”

Jason Faulkner, senior editor: “I have entered the world of survival horror.”

Mack Ashworth, lead editor: “I’m currently wading my way through the Red Dead Redemption 2 epilogue. It’s been a long journey, but one worth the time I’ve invested. My girlfriend and I have also been teaming up on Lego Harry Potter and The Witness. These should keep us busy before Resident Evil 2 Remake and Kingdom Hearts 3 hit!”

Michael Leri, features editor: “I recently finished the third episode of The Walking Dead: The Final Season, which I enjoyed, along with Onimusha Warlords, which I did not enjoy. Along with some previews I’ll be able to post next week, I recently fell back into Mortal Kombat X. That MK11 reveal event is so close that I can taste it, which is gross because it tastes like blood.”
