Is the EA, Activision, and Ubisoft bubble bursting? | GameRevolution Radio

Are EAActivision, and Ubisoft suffering from identity crises? The publishers of some of the world’s biggest games have each faced their own problems within the last year, from a backlash against their monetization efforts through to the declining quality of their major releases. With GameRevolution having gone hands-on with Far Cry New Dawn ahead of this week’s GameRevolution Radio, we discussed how over-saturation has perhaps left a bitter taste in the mouths of the modern audience, and how the big publisher bubble might be bursting.

As always, GameRevolution Radio is broadcast to our viewers via Twitch and YouTube, with us providing exclusive information about all the latest video games along with covering the news stories you need to know about. Along with our Far Cry New Dawn preview, the GR team also discusses their thoughts on Mortal Kombat 11. With features editor Michael Leri having attended the recent reveal event, GR’s resident Mortal Kombat nut gave us the low-down on whether we should be excited about Netherrealm’s fighting game sequel.

Senior editor Jason Faulkner also finally got to review the Resident Evil 2 remake, and suffice to say it was everything he wanted it to be. With it receiving our first golden Editors’ Choice award of the year, Jason was keen to discuss this early Game of the Year contender. Resident Evil fans will also want to tune in to the end of the podcast, where Jason tries (and spectacularly fails) to summarize the plot of the entire series in 60 seconds.
