Tell GR | What do YOU think Death Stranding is about?

Tell GR is a daily community feature in which GameRevolution’s readers share their thoughts on a particular topic. Leave your responses in the comments section!

In case you haven’t heard, there’s a new Death Stranding trailer. There’s also a release date, with the game set to arrive earlier than expected on November 8, 2019. This is earlier than expected, but even though it won’t be long before we’re playing it, we’re still not entirely sure what it’s about. Multiple fan theories are floating around the internet, of course, but director Hideo Kojima isn’t exactly known for going the obvious route. Whatever guesses are out there right now could be on the money, but there will be more than a few surprises up Kojima’s sleeve when Death Stranding‘s launch rolls around.

But still, it’s fun to speculate. Members of team GR have been putting their thinking caps on to come up with ideas regarding what the plot will be about. News Editor Bradley Russell believes that it will revolve around “the Throat Baby holding the ability to reverse the Death Stranding,” though concedes that “fuck it, it’s Kojima so throw in some time travel, an epilogue about how the Throat Baby is actually Norman Reedus, and several excuses to show shirtless Mads.” Yep, we really don’t know what’s going to happen.

But what about you? Do you think you might have “solved” the mystery of Death Stranding? Do you have an excellent theory regarding what we can expect when we finally play the game in November? Let us know in the comments below, and we’ll post our favorite theory in tomorrow’s Tell GR!
