Lemokey P1 HE Keyboard Review

Lemokey P1 HE Keyboard Review

With the Lemokey P1 HE keyboard, the company is combining many modern must-haves into a seemingly well-priced package. With promises of excellent build quality, fantastic connectivity options and, most importantly in 2025, hall effect switches, can the P1 HE deliver for both work and play? Here is my review.

Hall effect magic

Lemokey P1 HE Keyboard Review

Right out of the gate, let’s talk about the “HE” part of the Lemokey P1 HE. This keyboard boasts Gateron Double-Rail Magnetic Nebula Switch, which means it has tunable actuation distances. This feature is in huge demand, especially for first-person shooter fans, for how customizable it is.

Users can set the exact point that switches activate, deactivate, and reset, all within the software. In practice, this makes strafing side to side more effective, allows different running speeds according to how far the button is pushed, and much more. It’s a literal game-changer in the keyboard world and it’s great to see Lemokey including it here.

Lemokey’s browser-based application is used to personalize what each key does and how the hall effect tech functions. It’s laid out as simple as possible, though it may take users a bit of time to get their keyboard working exactly as they want it to.

Built like a tank

Of course, it’s not just about the switch choice. Out of the box, the weight of the Lemokey P1 HE is immediately apparent. With its aluminum frame and full metal body, the P1 HE immediately feels high-quality. Additionally, the double-shot PBT keycaps also stand out as a highlight.

For me, the 75% form factor is the perfect blend of gaming minimalism and office work practicality. There’s no number pad, meaning there’s more room to swing a mouse, but the arrow keys and F-row remain, which are crucial for me. It’s the perfect size.

Connectivity Options

When it comes to connecting the P1 HE to a PC, there are three options: USB-C, 2.4 GHz, and Bluetooth. While I’m perfectly fine using a wired connection, it’s good to see that fans of wireless are well-catered for.

Once you’re all set up, it’s time to take the P1 HE gaming. I’m happy to report that the hall effect tech functions in the exact same way as more expensive keyboards from mainstream brands. It’s nice to know that your gaming skills won’t be nerfed when going with Lemokey over Razer, for example.

The drawbacks

The downsides for this keyboard are pretty obvious. First, there’s the weight. Though it does have wireless connectivity, which is ideal for portable use, the board itself is pretty hefty. I wouldn’t want to have it in my backpack all day.

The hall effect switches themselves are the other downside, as they limit the hotswappable nature of the P1 HE. This keyboard is only compatible with the Gateron Double-Rail Magnetic Switch type, so users will need to lock themselves into that choice for as long as they’re using the keyboard.

Final Verdict

For $169, the Lemokey P1 HE is an impressive offering that punches well above its weight class. It combines enthusiast-grade features — like tunable hall effect switches, premium build materials, and flexible connectivity options — at a price that undercuts many big-name competitors. While the heft of the board and the limited switch compatibility might be drawbacks for some, they’re small trade-offs for what you’re getting in return. If you’re looking for a future-proof keyboard that’s just as competent in a high-stakes FPS match as it is in a day of office work, the P1 HE delivers in a big way.
