YouTube & ESPN Team up for New Sports-Only Plan

YouTube is shaking things up in the streaming world with its new sports-centric package. The move is designed to cater to sports enthusiasts who want to stay up-to-date with their favorite teams and leagues. With ESPN included, fans can catch live sports, analysis, and original content all in one place.

After a tumultuous 2025 marked by a bitter dispute with Disney that led to an ESPN blackout and a significant subscriber exodus – with over 20% of users threatening to cancel – YouTube TV is ringing in 2026 with a game-changing move.

YouTube TV is launching the new sports plan in an effort to win back disaffected subscribers and attract new ones. The platform’s new plans promise to deliver more sports content than ever at a discounted price, separate from the standard $82.99 main plan.

The revamped packages put the power back in users‘ hands, offering tailored options to suit their viewing habits. The star of the show is undoubtedly the Sports plan, priced at $64.99/month (or $54.99/month for new subscribers). It bundles ESPN channels, ESPN Unlimited (launching this fall), FS1, and more.

The sports plan offers an $18 discount compared to YouTube TV’s main plan, which includes over 100 networks and costs $82.99/month. Additionally, the Google-owned platform is introducing further plans, including:

  • The Sports + News Plan ($71.99/month) adds news channels like CNBC, Fox News, and CNN to the sports content.
  • The Entertainment plan ($54.99/month) focuses on channels like Comedy Central, Bravo, and Food Network.
  • The News + Entertainment + Family Plan ($69.99/month) bundles it all, including kids’ channels like Disney Channel and Nickelodeon

With its latest offerings, YouTube TV is set to become an even more attractive choice for viewers.
