Mortal Kombat X Was So Bad On PC It Required a 28GB Patch To Fix

If you attempt to boot Mortal Kombat X on PC, you will notice that you have a massive download awaiting you. Weighing in at 28GB, the newest update for the game is, in a word, significant.

Since launch PC gamers have complained about poor optimization, unreliable netcode, and an array of bugs while playing Mortal Kombat X since it debuted. NetherRrealm Studios thinks it has the issues sorted out, but it required a hefty update that is nearly as large as the entire game.

The patch specifically targets FPS issues, in addition to reworking the netcode. It even includes a couple pieces of free DLC for good measure.

I won't go as far as to say that Mortal Kombat X is now actually good on PC, but there's a chance it is, and that's pretty exciting.
