Microsoft Unveils Xbox Smart Glass, Moves Beyond the Console

After rumors and leaks speculated at the release of the "Xbox Smart Glass", Microsoft has now officially announced it.

The app will be available on Windows Phone obviously, but also Android, and iOS. The "breakthrough" will allow the devices you own to work together, and make you able to watch part of a program on a phone and then continue it on 360 or vice versa. Also, while you watch television, your phone will be able to tell you facts about the show as it happens.

Games will also get the Smart Glass treatment and will be augmented with facts and different angles. Both Halo 4 and Madden were shown with Smart Glass running on a tablet, with extra content shown on the second screen.

You will also be able to "unlock the web" with the intelligence of Smart Glass as Internet Explorer will be hitting the 360 later this year.

Stick to GR for more information on Smart Glass, as it is announced.
