E3 2018: Rick and Morty Creators Reveal Trover Saves the Universe Game

Rick and Morty‘s creators have revealed a brand new game, with Trover Saves the Universe boasting the animated series’ trademark off-the-wall sense of humor, minus its cast of characters. Justin Roiland, one of the minds behind Rick and Morty, lends his vocal talents to the upcoming PSVR game. It’s the first release from the newly formed Squanch Games.

The first Trover and the Universe trailer was revealed during the Sony E3 2018 presentation, and it looks like it’s going to be a must-play for Rick and Morty fans. Roiland doesn’t exactly seem like he’s masking his Morty voice here, so if you squint your eyes you could probably convince yourself that you’re watching a particularly interactive version of the show.

It’s not entirely clear what Trover Saves the Universe is, but we suspect that won’t exactly matter for fans of the Rick and Morty series. All we know is that it’s going to feature irreverent humor and weird-looking aliens, which was probably to be expected considering the folks behind it.

No release date has been revealed for the game, though we should hear more information sooner rather than later.
