PlatinumGames “Would Love” To Make Another Game Starring Raiden

I hope you're looking forward to Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, because we may very well be getting another Raiden-centric spinoff from PlatinumGames in the future.

Atsushi Inaba, the director at PlatinumGames’, told Siliconera flat out that they'd be interested in making another game set in the Metal Gear universe. “I really think I was able to see Raiden grow independently and strong as a character and as a man. To be part of that was an honor. Moving forward, if Kojima Productions feels that another Raiden game is needed I would love to be a part of making Raiden’s next growth,” he said.

Kojima Productions’ creative producer Yuki Korekado also spoke highly of Metal Gear Rising, telling the outlet that spinoffs like these provide a great way to flesh out more of the universe that Hideo Kojima created. 

In Rising, we got to see Raiden grow as a character and develop as a person, Beyond that, within the Metal Gear universe there are a lot of characters and stories. Within that we were able to show the value of the universe and expand on it. We were able to prove we can create branches to explain more deep stories within the universe.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeace launches on February 19th for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
