Mortal Kombat 11 1.04 Update Patch Notes

Mortal Kombat 11 1.04 Update Patch Notes | Goodbye, farming glitches

The Mortal Kombat 11 1.04 update patch notes still have not dropped yet. The ones on the console just read as “general bug fixes.” But it does more than that. As of now, this MK11 1.04 update takes away a couple popular farming glitches.

Mortal Kombat 11 1.04 Update Patch Notes | Krypt head farming glitch

That sounds a little weird out of context but this Mortal Kombat 11 1.04 update has taken away the farming method of character heads in the Krypt. This was achieved by holding down the confirm button and running to one of the shrines inside the Krypt. It would fool the game into thinking that the player had done the 50 fatalities on said character, opening up the chest and letting them have the goods early.

This doesn’t work anymore and players will have to do the 50 fatalities on each each character like NetherRealm intended (at least until someone finds another glitch). Doing 50 fatalities on every character would take a long time so people resorted to this glitch to bypass that process. Some heads, like Cetrion’s, were essential in some later parts in the Krypt.

Mortal Kombat 11 1.04 Update Patch Notes | Soul farming glitch

But that’s not all. NetherRealm also took away the Soul farming glitch in the Krypt. This was achieved by opening Skeleton Key doors in a certain in the Krypt. Players found ways to repeat this multiple times, getting Souls every single time. This is now no longer possible as NetherRealm has patched this out.

However, there is this other Soul farming method, which still works. The Shinnok Amulet glitch also allegedly still works.

Other Krypt glitches and exploits may have been squashed in this update but those were two of the most popular ones. We will update this article if other farming methods were eliminated.

We will also update this article when or if the official patch notes drop. Until then, you can look at the notes for the last official patch that nerfed the towers and buffed the output of currency.
