Death Stranding Disable Auto Login

Death Stranding ‘Disable Auto Login’ Message | Meaning and how to enable

The Death Stranding “Disable Auto Login” message can be a little confusing, as it is asked as a question, but can only be answered with an “OK.” If you’re met with this warning before starting up the game, don’t worry, as it’s not as complicated as it seems. Here’s what the “Disable Auto Login” message means in Death Stranding and how to enable it in the menu.

What does “Disable Auto Login” mean in Death Stranding?

Death Stranding Disable Auto Login

If you’ve been met with the “Disable Auto Login” message at the Death Stranding main menu, you might be a bit concerned about what exactly has been “disabled.” Thankfully, this scary-looking warning is just telling you that your game world will no longer be automatically connected to the game worlds of other players. You can still play the game in the Offline Mode, but you won’t be able to interact with other real-life players.

Happily, this option can be re-enabled in the options menu. Simply head to the System menu > Options > Game Settings > Login Upon Launch. Here you’ll be able to choose whether or not to automatically log in to online services when you start the game.

Turning on Auto Login will make it so that the game automatically logs you in online, with you immediately being connected with other players. This has the advantage of you being able to see player structures, as well as the ability to send and receive Likes.

On the other hand, some players might not want to see these online elements during their playthrough. This is where the “Disable Auto Login” option makes sense, as it prevents the game from automatically connecting.

This message appears during an Error Code: 50005, where the game is unable to make a connection online. If this is the case, once the error has been solved, you’ll need to get back online by following the instructions detailed above.
