The Sims 4 Gameplay Walkthrough Features Bro-Love

The Sims 4 producers Ryan Vaughn and Graham Cardone are back, this time with the 20-minute gameplay demonstration (posted above) that they showed the press (myself included) at E3 in mid-June. It's neat that the gameplay doesn't play out exactly the same way as the presentation I saw earlier, but the main bullet points are pretty much consistent, and the theme we're looking for is "bro-love."

Right from the beginning in the character creation, you can give Sims a number of personality traits, one of which is straight-up Bro. This social trait reflects in the gameplay in several ways, giving Ryan's Sim unique interactions like "give pep talk" while he's energized to pump up other Sims who might feel depressed or angry.

Bros just enjoy being in the vicinity of other bros, going to the local fitness center, and can do "hip bumps" with other Sims and love throwing parties for each other. (And near ponds, they can catch "rainbro trout." That's their joke, not mine.) And being trained by Chuck Norris-lookalikes is just a dream. Shaka bras, all around.

But in all seriousness, check out the video and my preview for The Sims 4. The new features like The Gallery and the incredible polish in the house editing mode already look incredible.
