Kano and Newcomer D’Vorah Assault Mortal Kombat X

The cybernetic leader of The Black Dragon will be making a return in the upcoming Mortal Kombat X as shown in new gameplay footage (posted above). Creative Director Ed Boon introduces this revamped version of Kano, just as he had with the official trailer for the Thunder God Raiden fighting against the new boss Kotal Kahn.

Like the other characters on the roster including Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and the new bug-lover D'Vorah (who he fights against in the Jungle environment in this trailer, Kano will have three variants: Cybernetic, Commando, and Cutthroat.

While the Cutthroat specialization gives Kano some quick and efficient knife combos, the Cybernetic enhancements grant him long-range projectiles and a double-blast anti-aerial attack. For trickier setups, the Commando variant allows him to counter all sorts of melee attacks and then punish with several grappling combos.
