The new Batman skin on Fortnite uses the cel-shaded, inked aesthetic Epic has been applying to comic-inspired collabs. It comes with a matching cape back bling. The shop also offers a separate bundle with a themed pickaxe at a discount. On May 19, the official X account for the video game announced the news with the caption, “The Dark Knight has jumped out of the comics. Batman (Pen & Ink) is now in the Shop.”

X user @av_vanny1 praised the skin, writing, “Finally looks like actual comic Batman.” @CuriousWash posted, “Honestly the best Batman skin in the game.” @ArkhamPancake said that they loved it and were planning to get it immediately, writing, “PEAK, trying to get it right now.”

Many fans have also asked Fortnite to include Pen & Ink version of Marvel’s Spider-Man. X user @Toastyman000 wrote, “Hm… pen and ink Spider-Man?” @SergzillaZN posted, “please make a pen & ink spiderman skin I BEG.” @BND1804 demanded, “GIVE US A SPIDER-MAN SKIN THAT LOOKS LIKE THIS WITH A BLACK SUIT EDIT STYLE.”

Meanwhile, some fans asked for skins of other characters. @TheBxxdSxn wrote, “PLEASE ADD NIGHTWING AND DAMIAN WAYNE ROBIN SKINS TO FORTNITE!” @faklovehotline asked for a Daredevil skin, posting, “Pen and Ink Daredevil. Please.” @TSincere04 further added, “PLEASE EPIC GAME MAKE A FLASH LIKE THIS OR SOMETHING COMIC.”

Currently, there are two different options for the skin in the Item Shop. The standalone offer includes the outfit and its matching back bling, while the bundle also features the Batarang Knucks pickaxe at a discounted overall price. The complete bundle, including the back bling and the pickaxe, costs 1800 V-bucks.
