Zelda: Breath of the Wild – How to Access Trial of the Sword in The Master Trials

Now that the first DLC package for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has arrived, titled The Master Trials, you may be wondering how to access its main feature: Trial of the Sword. Here’s how.

The Master Trials are located at the stone where you originally grabbed the Master Sword, a hidden location in the southern region of Korok Forest.

Below is a map with a red dot specifying its location, along with an arrow showing how to get into Korok Forest.

MasterSword

The Master Sword requires 12 Hearts, effectively gating this content to intermediate and advanced players only.

Upon clicking on the stone, you will be presented with three options, as follows:

  • Beginning Trials
  • Middle Trials
  • Final Trials

These trials have 15 rooms, each of increasing difficulty. Puzzles, swarms of enemies, and more await you in this unique style of content directly aimed toward veteran players.

Completion of the trials will upgrade your Master Sword to never run out of energy, making it by far the best weapon in the game.
