South Park: The Fractured But Whole Time Fart Pause, Summon and Shift Guide

South Park: The Fractured But Whole features three fart-based abilities, with Time Fart Pause, Time Fart Summon and Time Fart Shift each allowing the player to bend time in order to gain an advantage both against your enemies or to use while wandering around South Park.

The following Time Fart abilities allow you to unlock new areas in South Park’s open world, solve puzzles or help you defeat your opponents in combat. Take a look at what you’ll need to do to unlock them, and what new powers they’ll grant you when you get your hands on them:

South Park: The Fractured But Whole Time Fart Glitch Guide

You’ll unlock Time Fart Glitch early on in the game, with you gaining access to it during the mission in which you chase Classi through the Italian restaurant. The ability is used to either reverse time or put objects that you’ve destroyed or moved back into their original place, thus allowing you to solve new puzzles and access new areas of South Park. Unfortunately, the move isn’t all too useful in combat, as while it allows you to effectively reverse or halt an enemy’s attack, this is also later achievable using the Time Fart Pause move.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole Time Fart Pause Guide

You’ll learn the Time Fart Pause ability while playing through the story, with Morgan Freeman teaching you a special recipe that you can use to unlock this power. After doing so, Time Fart Pause will allow you to reach new areas by way of stopping dangerous obstacles such as electrified water or turrets, while you can also use it to catch Big Gay Al’s cats for his side-quest.

Time Fart Pause is also the most useful Time Fart ability in combat, with it allowing you to pause time in order to hit your surrounding enemies. It’s a weak attack, but it can also be used to prevent your enemy from attacking you, making it a very useful move.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole Time Fart Summon Guide

Time Fart Summon isn’t unlocked during The Fractured But Whole’s story, meaning that it’s possible to skip over it. You may first be alerted to it after visiting Memberberry Farm, with your Morgan Freeman spirit guide telling you to visit Freeman’s Tacos in order to obtain the new power.

In order to unlock it, you need to purchase a $30 Chocolate Memberito Recipe from Freeman, before getting your hands on Ms. Cartman’s Double Stuffed Brownies and a bucket of Memberberry juice. The brownies will be handed to you as part of the ‘Vigilante Marketing’ side-quest, while you can get the Memberberry juice by obtaining the Juicer Crank from the roof of Skeeter’s Wine Bar, which you’ll then use to fill a bucket with Memberberry juice at Memberberry Farm.

While this ability isn’t essential, it’s still handy in combat as it allows you to summon a past version of yourself to fight by your side. Though this duplicate New Kid won’t last for very long, they still come in handy and make dealing with larger groups of enemies easier.
