Sea of Thieves Legendary Ship Customization Options

Sea of Thieves Legendary Ship Explained: How to Get, Customizations, More

With today’s release of Update 1.0.4, we now have access to the Sea of Thieves Legendary Ship Customization Options in the game on both PC and Xbox One versions of the game. This marks the first new “content” of sorts for the game since launch, though, it is only customization options and not new missions or anything like that.

The Sea of Thieves Legendary Ship Customization Options is welcome for anyone that felt like there wasn’t enough incentive or rewards given to players who have already reached Pirate Legend status in the game or are aiming towards that goal right now. This is a great move from Rare that allows Legends to truly show off.

How to Get Sea of Thieves Legendary Ship Customization Options

Before you can get access to the new Sea of Thieves Legendary Ship Customization Options, you need to actually be able to obtain the Legendary Ship in the first place. How you do that is by receiving the Pirate Legend status. We’ve already detailed this previously in another guide, but the gist of it is you need level 50 in all three merchant companies.

Doing that gigantic task will allow you to become a Pirate Legend and own your very own Legendary Ship. With it, you’ll have access to the new Sea of Thieves Legendary Ship Customization Options. These options, though limited at this time, allow you to show off your Legendary status to all players you encounter in the game.

As of right now, there are Pirate Legend sails, hulls, and a figurehead that you can purchase for your Sea of Thieves Legendary Ship Customization Options as seen above in the picture. Each of these cosmetic only customization options that have no effect on gameplay cost 300,000 gold each. So, time to save up!
