Fortnite Season 5 Battle Pass: What is the Battle Pass?
Season 5 of Fortnite is set to bring with it several changes. We already know that the map will potentially be Wild West themed, with a whole new look and new locations. The Battle Pass brings a hell of a lot of new cosmetic items to the party. You’ll pay an initial one-off price to gain access to some of the new items. The rest you’ll have to unlock by completing in-game challenges across the 10-week season. What this means is we cannot unlock everything in the Season 5 Battle Pass until the end of Season 5. The basic version will set you back $10, whereas a version with 25/100 tiers unlocked will cost you $25.

With a new Season comes a new Battle Pass in Fortnite. It has done each and every time now. While we cannot give you an exact release date, we do have some theories. Fortnite Season 5 will launch on July 12. Typically, the Battle Pass for each Season has released alongside the new Season. We’re guessing that you’ll be able to start unlocking the new content as soon as Season 5 goes live.
What that content will be, is anyone’s guess. While we’ve already seen the likes of Wild West themed landmarks thrown into the game before Season 5’s launch, we’ve also seen things such as anchors and now Kitsune masks being teased. One theory is that the Fortnite Season 5 Battle Pass will be themed around time travel. Anything seems possible at this point!
