===============================================================================

[2] INTRODUCTION [LRG002]

===============================================================================

Allow me to quickly explain something - to "catch" the Pokemon in this game,

you have to recruit them into your Rescue Team. To do this, you must defeat

them in battle (the final hit being your team leader's hit) and then hope that

they ask to join your rescue team.

I imagine most of you know what legendary Pokemon are if you've ever played

another Pokemon game. In case you haven't, though unlikely, legendary Pokemon

are one-of-a-kind Pokemon that are supposedly "extremely rare." Though it

honestly isn't that hard to find them in any Pokemon game, it's true that there

is only one of their species in a game. There are thirty-five legendary Pokemon

which is about 7% of all of them. However, only 33 of those legendaries can be

caught in this game, I'm afraid.

As for how they relate to Mystery Dungeon - legendaries tend to be the bosses of

dungeons, or at least they were in MD1 - for many legends, a completely new

system has been built. Though about six or so of these legendaries remain as

bosses, many can actually be found wandering around on the floors of specific

dungeons with the aid of a special item.

Legendary Pokemon are, for the most part, more powerful than their counterparts

in normal Pokemon. However, they also tend to be a lot bigger and because of

that you cannot bring as many Pokemon as you'd like to and certainly not four

extremely powerful legendary Pokemon, though it is possible to bring four

legendaries as some are only 1 or 2 starred in their size rating (you can bring

a maximum size of 6 along). They are also a little harder to recruit in some

cases, but not all.

===============================================================================

[3] USEFUL ADVICE [LRG003]

===============================================================================

Recruiting the legendaries is all up to chance, except for a select view - if

you want to recruit them quickly and efficently, you are going to need some

aids. There are a few items in this game that can help you recruit them and

to defeat them, as well as some items that can help you get through dungeons.

RECRUITMENT ITEMS

=====================

FRIEND BOW - Equippable Item

-----------------------------

EFFECT: When equipped to the leader Pokémon, the chance to recruit all Pokemon,

unless unrecruitable, rises by roughly 10%. This is useful but it is the weakest

recruitment item available to you.

LOCATIONS: Dark Crater, Marine Resort, Mt. Mistral, Zero Isle East, Zero Isle

North (Shops on B60F - B72F).

GOLDEN MASK - Equippable Item

------------------------------

EFFECT: The Golden Mask has the same effect as the Friend Bow, but at a higher

efficency. The Golden Mask, according to a source, "Maximally raises chance of

recruiting Pokemon." (Note: Although this item is extremely useful, be warned

that is item is NOT easy to get, just because of where it is located. Zero Isle

North is not an easy dungeon. Though it is the one Zero Isle where you are not

reduced to Level 1, the Wild Pokemon there are very powerful (from what I have

heard, about Level 90 or so) and you do not gain any experience from them.

Although, if you do come to Zero Isle North, rather than trying to get a Friend

Bow I would just go for the Golden Mask.)

LOCATIONS: Zero Isle North B75F. It is just lying on the ground there. Also,

in a Wonder Mail - check the Wonder Mail section for it.

AMBER TEAR - Equippable Item

-----------------------------

EFFECT: The Amber Tear is actually an item with exactly the same effect as the

Golden Mask. However, it is arguably actually harder to get. (Though it is

located on a lower floor, because it is in Zero Isle West you are reduced to

Level 1. If you do attempt to get it, good luck.)

LOCATIONS: Zero Isle West, B40F. I assume it is just lying on the ground, but

I haven't actually been to Zero Isle West myself, so I'm not completely sure.

(Feel free to e-mail me with confirmation if you have any.)

BATTLE HELPING ITEMS

=====================

REVIVER SEED - Automatic Item

------------------------------

EFFECT: When you have one of these in your bag, any Pokemon in your team that

happens to faint will automatically be revived with full HP and PP. The only

drawback is that each Reviver Seed can only be used once. These are extremely

useful items, in any situation, not just legendaries.

LOCATIONS: They're found in quite a lot of dungeons, honestly. I've found quite

a few in Labyrinth Cave, myself (you need a Wonder Mail to unlock that dungeon

btw) and you can also sometimes by them from Kecleon's shop in Treasure Town for

800 Poke each. In addition, there are three boxes on Surrounded Sea B20F that

you can pick up and each one contains a Reviver Seed. Also, in Tiny Meadow, on

4F there are two boxes and the left one MAY hold a Reviver Seed.

X-EYE SEED - Throwable Item

----------------------------

EFFECT: The X-Eye Seed is a useful item as it causes a Pokemon to start halluc-

inating and move around randomly, completely preventing attack. The effect also

lasts for quite a few turns so it is a very useful item.

LOCATIONS: Random dungeons. There isn't really a specific location where they

can be found, as far as I'm aware.

SLEEP SEED - Throwable Item

----------------------------

EFFECT: In the same vein as the X-Eye Seed, the Sleep Seed can cause a Pokemon

to become incapacitated for a few turns, but for this item in the form of

sleep. This item should work on any Pokemon except for those who have the

Insomnia or Vital Spirit traits and it gives you a fair few turns to let loose

attacks as well.

LOCATIONS: Random dungeons, notably Beach Cave, actually.

STUN SEED - Throwable Item

---------------------------

EFFECT: The Stun Seed will petrify one Pokemon. When petrified, a Pokemon can

not move until the Petrify effect goes away - which is whenever the Pokemon

is hit by anything that changes anything to do with the Pokemon, such as stats

or HP. This means things such as Sandstorm and stat boosters such as Acupressure

can cause the petrify effect to wear off.

LOCATIONS: Random dungeons and again notably Beach Cave.

PETRIFY ORB - Usable Item

--------------------------

EFFECT: The Petrify Orb is an item that is particuarly useful for Monster

Houses. When a Petrify Orb is used, all Pokemon in the same room as you will

immediately become petrified and cannot move again until they are attacked.

However, be warned that should there be a Sandstorm or Hail, or if a Pokemon

comes in the room and uses Acupressure/Agility or something, the Petrify Orb's

effect will wear off. PLEASE NOTE THAT ORBS CANNOT BE USED IN BOSS BATTLES.

LOCATIONS: Random dungeons.

SPURN ORB - Usable Item

------------------------

EFFECT: The Spurn Orb is another good item for Monster Houses. When used, all

enemy Pokemon in the same room as you will be warped to another place on the

map, seperately. This means that you can take them mostly one at the time

rather than the nine or ten or so at a time as before. PLEASE NOTE THAT ORBS

CANNOT BE USED IN BOSS BATTLES.

LOCATIONS: Random dungeons.

===============================================================================

[5] REGULAR LEGENDS [LRG005]

===============================================================================

All of the legendaries in this section can be obtained without needing a

Mystery Part or Secret Slab or a Wonder Mail password to get their dungeon.

Please note that every legendary here must still have a certain condition

fulfilled to get them, however.

Also, all Pokemon that have a 100% chance of recruitment will recruit no matter

how the battle ends - as in, even if a partner defeats them, they will still

request to join the team.

KEY FOR DIFFICULTY:

- Guaranteed is a guaranteed 100% chance.

- Very Easy means that they will come with you most of the time.

- Easy means that they can be recruited fairly easily.

- Hard means that they can be recruited with a little difficulty.

- Very Hard means that they are very difficult to recruit.

- N/A means the Pokemon recruits with some other event rather than a battle.

==================================

#483 DIALGA [5.01]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #483

LOCATION: Temporal Tower Summit

TYPE: Steel / Dragon

LEVEL: 48

ABILITY: Pressure

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Guaranteed

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT:

- You must come back to the summit after the credits have rolled.

COMMENTS

---------

Dialga is the third legendary you will actually battle, after the Groudon at

Fogbound Lake and Mesprit. When you first battle Dialga atop Temporal Tower

Summit, he will be Primal Dialga - a Dialga with a different colour scheme

and a crazy personality. Otherwise, he's pretty much the same.

A lot of people have trouble with Dialga because of Roar of Time. Roar of Time

is a move similar to Discharge, in that when Dialga uses it ALL of your Pokemon

will take damage and the power isn't split either. Though it won't usually OHKO

you unless it gets a critical hit, it can cause some serious damage and since

it can hit both of your Pokemon, you may not have a chance to recover the health

of all Pokemon so I highly recommend you bring some Reviver Seeds when battling

against this beast.

You may also want to use utilties such as X-Eye Seeds and Sleep Seeds to stop

Dialga even using Roar of Time. In addition, if you can find a Dig TM, teaching

the move to one of your Pokemon can help a lot against Dialga.

After you beat Primal Dialga, Dialga will change back to his normal blue colour.

Soon after, the credits will roll. After the credits, you can go to the beach

below Treasure Town and talk to Lapras. Lapras will take you and your partner

(ONLY you and your partner, however) to the Hidden Land, so you'll have to go

through the Hidden Land and the interior of it again. Once you beat it, you

will be asked if you want to continue to Temporal Tower - say yes. Get through

it, get to the top, and battle Dialga.

This time, Dialga... will be absolutely the same. The only difference is that

you have probably risen a few levels since the last fight. Use the same tactics

and you should be able to get past the 800 or so HP that Dialga has (both times

you battle it.) After defeating it again, you will get an option asking you if

you want to let Dialga join your team. Obviously, pick yes, and you will have

recruited Dialga!

==================================

#480 UXIE [5.02]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #480

LOCATION: Steam Cave Summit

TYPE: Psychic

LEVEL: 42

ABILITY: Levitate

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Guaranteed

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT

- You must come back to the summit after the credits have rolled.

COMMENTS

---------

Uxie is one of the fourth generation's legendary trio protecting a Time Gear.

The first time you see Uxie, you'll have just beaten a fake Groudon. Uxie will

not actually fight you the very first time you see it, instead letting you gaze

upon the beautiful sight of the Fogbound Lake. The Groudon before can be a bit

difficult at Level 30, but it isn't too difficult to prevail against.

If you come back up to the summit after the credits roll, Uxie will, for some

odd reason, not recognize you and challenge you to a fight. Uxie is honestly

not that tough - just four or five powerful attacks should be sufficent to

defeat it. Just beating it will cause it to ask to join your rescue team -

say yes and you've recruited Uxie!

==================================

#481 MESPRIT [5.03]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #481

LOCATION: Quicksand Cave, Underground Lake

TYPE: Psychic

LEVEL: 42

ABILITY: Levitate

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Guaranteed

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT

- You must come back to the lake after the credits have rolled.

COMMENTS

---------

The very first time you see Mesprit, she will challenge you to a battle but

at this time in the game, Mesprit is only Level 18. Mesprit isn't that hard

to beat at this point so you should prevail with ease.

Later on in the game after you've seen the credits, come back to the lake and

Mesprit will challenge you again, this time at a new and improved Level 42.

But she's still not very difficult - strong attacks will do. Like Uxie, Mesprit

will ask to join your team. Say yes, you recruit Mesprit, etc.

==================================

#482 AZELF [5.04]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #482

LOCATION: Crystal Crossing, Crystal Lake

TYPE: Psychic

LEVEL: 42

ABILITY: Levitate

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Guaranteed

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT

- You must come back to the lake after the credits have rolled.

COMMENTS

---------

The first time you see Azelf, he'll have already been defeated and instead

you'll have to face Grovyle who is at a whopping Level 46. Of course, if you

have Fire or Flying attacks defeating Grovyle shouldn't be that hard.

Like the other two in the trio, come back after the credits and Azelf will

challenge you to a battle at Level 42. Same process, same recruitment question.

You get the idea.

==================================

#378 REGICE [5.05]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #378

LOCATION: Aegis Cave, Regice's Room

TYPE: Ice

LEVEL: 46

ABILITY: Clear Body

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Easy

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT

- You must come back after you have unlocked the Concealed Cave.

COMMENTS

---------

Regice is located in Aegis Cave, the spawn of hell. If you don't know, within

Aegis Cave there are Unown and you have to get Unown Stones, each one having

the letter of the Unown it drops from, to spell out the words on the stone

slab in the hubs of Aegis Cave. When you first come in, it will show you the

word "ICE" in Unown writing. Then within the Ice Maze, you must get one "I"

Unown stone, one "C" Unown stone and one "E" Unown stone. After getting these

three and getting back to the hub (which is achieved by simply completing the

maze) you have to talk to the stone and "submit your proof". It will then

disappear and you can go down to fight Regice.

Unfortunately, this cruel thing that they like to call a puzzle must be done

again EVERY SINGLE TIME you defeat Regigigas again. This means that since you

must defeat Regigigas to unlock Concealed Cave, you must recollect the stones

to form the word ICE at least twice. By at least, I mean that you may have to

do it more times. It all depends whether you get Regice or not. Personally,

I had to try twice to recruit it, not including the battle on the first

runthrough of Aegis Cave.

Make sure you defeat Regice with your leader and after you are granted the

guardian's permission Regice may reappear and ask to join your team. If Regice

doesn't, bad luck - you'll just have to collect the stones and try to recruit

it again. For this reason, I highly recommend you bring a Golden Mask or Amber

Tear along when trying to recruit it.

==================================

#377 REGIROCK [5.06]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #378

LOCATION: Aegis Cave, Regirock's Room

TYPE: Rock

LEVEL: 46

ABILITY: Clear Body

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Easy

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT

- You must come back after you have unlocked the Concealed Cave.

COMMENTS

---------

The way to get Regirock is almost identical to Regice. The only difference is

that you must get Unown Stones to form the word "ROCK" instead.

==================================

#379 REGISTEEL [5.07]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #378

LOCATION: Aegis Cave, Registeel's Room

TYPE: Steel

LEVEL: 46

ABILITY: Clear Body

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Easy

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT

- You must come back after you have unlocked the Concealed Cave.

COMMENTS

---------

Again, Registeel is obtained in a similar way to the other two Regi. The only

difference is that you must spell out the word "STEEL" instead.

==================================

#486 REGIGIGAS [5.08]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #486

LOCATION: Aegis Cave, Regigigas' Room

TYPE: Normal

LEVEL: 49

ABILITY: Slow Start

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Guaranteed

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT

- You must come back after you have unlocked the Concealed Cave.

COMMENTS

---------

Regigigas is slightly different in that rather than spell out something like

"GIGAS" you go into the deep part of Aegis Cave as soon as you defeat Registeel.

After going through five floors you will encounter Regigigas... along with

a quartet of Hitmonlee AND a quartet of Bronzong.

Unfortunately, you have to beat these Hitmonlee and Bronzong to finish the

battle. The first time you battle Regigigas and its henchmen, Team Charm will

be with you. However, any subsequent time, you'll be by yourself.

Of course, you can only get Regigigas on a subsequent time. So be sure to bring

some Reviver Seeds because if you get killed by one of the Hitmonlee, you will

be very, very annoyed. At least, I was. It wouldn't be so bad IF YOU DIDN'T

LOSE ALMOST ALL YOUR ITEMS AND HAVE TO COLLECT THE UNOWN STONES AGAIN.

Anyway, the second time you battle Regigigas and the henchmen, after you

commit mass murder upon them, Regigigas will request to join your team after

the battle. Thankfully, at least this Pokemon is 100%.

==================================

#484 PALKIA [5.09]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #484

LOCATION: Spacial Rift Bottom

TYPE: Water / Dragon

LEVEL: 48

ABILITY: Pressure

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Guaranteed

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT

- You must have defeated Palkia before at least once.

COMMENTS

---------

Sometime after Cresselia appears to you in your dreams, Palkia will come and

drag you off to Spacial Rift. Palkia is very similar to Dialga in that it also

has an attack that is strong and can kill off all your Pokemon at once - Spacial

Rend. Reviver Seeds are a must, as are Sleep and X-Eye Seeds. Palkia is also a

lot harder to type trump, as Dragon is its only weakness. You'll probably just

have to go for neutral moves or failing that, moves that are x0.5 effective as

opposed to x0.25 like Water and Fire.

Whenever you can visit Spacial Rift again - which I THINK is after you defeat

Darkrai - get to the bottom, defeat Palkia once more and it will ask to join

your team, 100% guaranteed.

Note that you must recruit Palkia to evolve your starters, so it is highly

recommended you recruit Palkia as soon as you can.

==================================

#488 CRESSELIA [5.10]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #488

LOCATION: Sharpedo Bluff

TYPE: Psychic

LEVEL: 47

ABILITY: Levitate

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: -

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT

- Clear the Dark Crater and defeat Darkrai.

COMMENTS

---------

Cresselia is different in that you do not recruit it until after you have fought

alongside it. When you first go to the Dark Crater to challenge Darkrai, Cress

will appear as one of your partners at Level 47 which is probably lower than

you are at that time. As far as I know you have to keep Cresselia alive as well

as your two Pokemon so don't let it get too weak. You CAN feed it Oran Berries

during the expedition to the Dark Crater.

After you defeat Darkrai, the usual celebration will happen and then you'll go

to sleep. The next morning, go out of your base and you should see Cresselia

sitting by the edge of the cliff, gazing out at the sea. Talk to her and after

some conversation, she'll ask to join you. Say yes, obviously.

==================================

#489 PHIONE [5.11]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #489

LOCATION: Miracle Sea Bottom

TYPE: Water

LEVEL: 40

ABILITY: Hydration

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: -

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT

- Clear the Miracle Sea and obtain the Phione Dew.

COMMENTS

---------

After you have fulfilled the requirement as seen above, come back to Miracle

Sea and battle your way back down to the bottom. When you arrive, the Phione

will notice you and one will come out of the group, asking to join your team.

Say yes, like usual.

You may also want to note that the very first time you find the Phione, you

will be forced to defeat a Gyarados. It isn't too tough but keep some supplies

at the ready, just in case.

==================================

#490 MANAPHY [5.12]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #490

LOCATION: Sharpedo Bluff

TYPE: Water

LEVEL: 40

ABILITY: Hydration

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: -

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT

- Defeat Darkrai and wait.

COMMENTS

---------

Though you will have said goodbye to Manaphy long before you beat Darkrai,

about three days after you defeat Darkrai and you go out of your base, Chatot

will come running to you telling you that Manaphy is on the beach. The two of

you will rush towards the beach and find that Manaphy IS there, just looking

out at the sea. Upon seeing the two of you, Manaphy will jump for joy and

come to you and your partner, talking in fluent speech (I don't know what

language speak, really. They just display it as English. Or whatever language

your game is).

After you see Manaphy, you will go back to your base and Manaphy will be asked

what he wants to do next. Manaphy tells you that it pondered lots of options

and decided on wanting to join your rescue team. Again, say yes and you'll have

recruited the lovable Manaphy!

==================================

#385 JIRACHI [5.13]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #385

LOCATION: Final Maze B23F

TYPE: Psychic

LEVEL: 45

ABILITY: Serene Grace

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Very Hard

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT

- You must have unlocked the Marine Resort.

COMMENTS

---------

Jirachi is probably one of the most annoying Pokemon to recruit in this game.

The Final Maze is found in Marowak's Dojo after you defeat the game. It is a

long maze with 48 floors and you aren't allowed to bring in items. Even after

you get to Jirachi and possibly recruit it, there is no guarantee that you'll

get out immediately unless you happen to pick up an Escape Orb. Luckily, you

can also kill yourself and you won't lose the items you picked up within the

maze - just your money.

Either way, when you enter the maze you must survive until you reach B23F.

B23F is different to the rest of the maze in that it has a grass-like scenery.

If you've unlocked Marine Resort, Jirachi will be wandering around somewhere on

the floor. Search for it and hopefully you'll be able to find it. It isn't

terribly hard to OHKO, but make absolutely sure the team leader is the one to

defeat Jirachi otherwise you will have no chance of recruiting it. Patience is

needed to recruit Jirachi - it could take up to 10 tries to recruit it, if not

more. As you cannot bring a recruitment helping item into the Final Maze, your

level is the only thing that you can use to influence the recruitment rate.

Good luck.

In addition, if you want to know how Jirachi is recruited exactly, it just

asks to join your rescue team like any other Wild Pokemon.

#245 SUICUNE [5.14]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #245

LOCATION: Final Maze B29F

TYPE: Water

LEVEL: 45

ABILITY: Pressure

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Easy

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT

- You must have unlocked the Marine Resort.

COMMENTS

---------

Suicune is the same as Jirachi except a little bit lower. It wanders around

B29F like Jirachi as long as you've unlocked the Marine Resort and B29F is also

decorated in accordance with Suicune, with the same palette as Northwind Field

in Mystery Dungeon RRT and BRT. Thankfully, Suicune is a fair bit easier to

recruit than Jirachi, so even though its six floors lower it might actually

cause you less frustration.

Again, Suicune isn't too tough, but you have to hope for the best when trying

to recruit it. It took me about four or five tries to recruit it, personally.

==================================

#146 MOLTRES [5.15]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #146

LOCATION: Final Maze B40F

TYPE: Fire / Flying

LEVEL: 45

ABILITY: Pressure

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Very Easy

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT

- You must have unlocked the Marine Resort.

COMMENTS

---------

Moltres is further down again, all the way on B40F. B40F is decorated with a

fire theme, with the same palette as MD1's Magma Cavern. The worst part about

Moltres is that the floor tends to take on a maze-like structure which makes

it ridiculously hard to actually find on the floor since Moltres will be moving

all the time as well. The very first time I came to B40F I couldn't actually

recruit it BECAUSE I COULD NOT FIND THE DAMN THING. Though the second time I

found it and recruited it. It's pretty lucky that they made Moltres fairly

easy to recruit compared to the other two.

As with the other two, good luck.

===============================================================================

[6] ITEM-ASSISTED LEGENDS [LRG006]

===============================================================================

A lot of legendaries in MD2 require the use of a Secret Slab or a Mystery Part,

both of which can only be gotten as rewards for doing a rescue mission. If you

are in need of either, take a look at the Wonder Mail section. Note that for

these legendaries you need the Secret Slab OR the Mystery Part - you do not

need both. Also, as long as the conditions are filled and the item you have

chosen is just IN YOUR TREASURE BAG, then the legendary will be on the floor

like a normal Wild Pokemon. If you want to make sure, check the Recruitable

Pokemon in the options. You do NOT use the Mystery Part or Secret Slab. Using

it will just cause it to break and disappear - nothing else will happen.

The majority of these legendaries require you to have unlocked the Marine Resort

before they will appear. The Marine Resort is unlocked about three days after

you recruit Manaphy.

Just to clarify, all legendaries in this section will just appear as normal

Wild Pokemon - the floor will not change into a special boss floor or anything

like that. Basically, they appear like Mew did in Mystery Dungeon R/B, except

with a 100% chance on a certain floor rather than the 0.95% chance or so Mew

had of appearing on the many floors of Buried Relic.

==================================

#249 LUGIA [6.01]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #249

LOCATION: Surrounded Sea B18F

TYPE: Psychic / Flying

LEVEL: 45

ABILITY: Pressure

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Very Easy

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT:

- You must have the Secret Slab or Mystery Part in your treasure bag.

COMMENTS

---------

Lugia is the first legendary I encountered that needs the use of an item and

is also the only legendary I am certain that you do NOT need the Marine Resort

unlocked to get. Any time you get Surrounded Sea, even the very first time,

Lugia will be wandering around on B18F.

==================================

#250 HO-OH [6.02]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #250

LOCATION: Mt. Mistral 19F

TYPE: Fire / Flying

LEVEL: 43

ABILITY: Pressure

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Very Easy

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT:

- You must have the Secret Slab or Mystery Part in your treasure bag.

COMMENTS

---------

Ho-oh is a phoenix Pokemon who will also appear on a floor. As you can see, I'm

not completely sure if you need Marine Resort or not, but judging by Lugia you

probably don't. Please note that Mt. Mistral must be unlocked via a mission

from the boards in the guild - check the Wonder Mail section for a mission that

will unlock Mt. Mistral.

==================================

#145 ZAPDOS [6.03]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #145

LOCATION: Amp Plains 7F

TYPE: Electric / Flying

LEVEL: 29

ABILITY: Pressure

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Very Easy

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT:

- You must have the Secret Slab or Mystery Part in your treasure bag.

- You must have the Marine Resort unlocked.

COMMENTS

---------

Zapdos is the only legendary bird that is encountered with the use of an item.

I am absolutely certain that Zapdos can only be encountered after the Marine

Resort has been unlocked - don't even bother trying to find it before then.

==================================

#243 RAIKOU [6.04]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #243

LOCATION: Concealed Cave B20F

TYPE: Electric

LEVEL: 46

ABILITY: Pressure

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Easy

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT:

- You must have the Secret Slab or Mystery Part in your treasure bag.

COMMENTS

--------

Raikou is one of the three legendary beasts and is located in one of the most

annoying dungeons in the game. Why is it annoying? DAMN EARTH POWER NIDOQUEENS

EVERYWHERE. Earth Power is a move that hits everyone in the room and it is

annoyingly powerful - be careful. Make sure you bring some Reviver Seeds just

in case - the fact Super Effective moves tend to have critical hits alongside

them now just makes Earth Power that more annoying.

==================================

#244 ENTEI [6.05]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #244

LOCATION: Deep Dark Crater B10F

TYPE: Fire

LEVEL: 47

ABILITY: Pressure

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Easy

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT:

- You must have the Secret Slab or Mystery Part in your treasure bag.

COMMENTS

---------

Entei is the fire legendary beast and is located very deep within the Dark

Crater. He doesn't even have a Very Easy recruitment chance. Sigh. ;_; There

isn't really anything you need to keep a watch out for the Dark Crater, but

be careful all the while. You may be able to get Entei on your first visit

but I'm not completely sure.

==================================

#386 DEOXYS [6.06]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #386

LOCATION: Shimmer Hill 17F

TYPE: Psychic

LEVEL: 45

ABILITY: Pressure

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Very Hard

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT:

- You must have the Secret Slab or Mystery Part in your treasure bag.

COMMENTS

--------

Deoxys is located quite late in Shimmer Hill (there's 18 floors in total) and

it's not even easy to recruit. Oh dear. Good luck getting it. You may also want

to note that Shimmer Hill must be unlocked via a mission from the notice board.

Again, check the Wonder Mail section if you need to unlock it.

==================================

#380 LATIAS [6.07]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #380

LOCATION: Happy Outlook B10F, Spacial Rift B10F

TYPE: Dragon / Psychic

LEVEL: 44

ABILITY: Levitate

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Easy

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT:

- You must have the Secret Slab or Mystery Part in your treasure bag.

- You must have the Marine Resort unlocked.

COMMENTS

--------

Latias is one of the Hoenn dragons. It actually appears in two dungeons. You

may want to try Spacial Rift as Latios also appears there, albeit quite a bit

deeper in. If you want to try to get it in Happy Outlook, note that you need a

mission to get it. Check the Wonder Mail section.

==================================

#381 LATIOS [6.08]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #381

LOCATION: Midnight Forest B24F, Deep Spacial Rift B5F

TYPE: Dragon / Psychic

LEVEL: 44

ABILITY: Pressure

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Easy

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT:

- You must have the Secret Slab or Mystery Part in your treasure bag.

- You must have the Marine Resort unlocked.

COMMENTS

--------

Latios is the other dragon and brother to Latias. You may want to try getting

Latios in Spacial Rift as you'll have a chance to get Latias as you go through.

If you would prefer to try in Midnight Forest, you will need a mission to unlock

the dungeon. Check the Wonder Mail section.

==================================

#150 MEWTWO [6.09]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #150

LOCATION: Deep Aegis Cave B5F, Dark Crater B6F

TYPE: Psychic

LEVEL: 50

ABILITY: Pressure

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Very Hard

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT:

- You must have the Secret Slab or Mystery Part in your treasure bag.

- You must have the Marine Resort unlocked.

- You must be playing Explorers of DARKNESS.

COMMENTS

--------

Mewtwo can also be found in two dungeons and it is unique in the fact that you

can only find Mewtwo if you are playing the Darkness version, as opposed to the

Time version. Though a higher level than Celebi, Mewtwo appears to be a lot

harder to recruit into your team. Luckily Dark Crater's B6F isn't too hard to

get to, so I'd recommend trying to get it there.

==================================

#251 CELEBI [6.10]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #251

LOCATION: Mystifying Forest 10F

TYPE: Grass / Psychic

LEVEL: 44

ABILITY: Pressure

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Very Easy

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT:

- You must have the Secret Slab or Mystery Part in your treasure bag.

- You must have the Marine Resort unlocked.

- You must be playing Explorers of TIME.

COMMENTS

--------

Unlike Mewtwo, Celebi can only be found in Explorers of Time and only in one

dungeon. However, Celebi is a LOT easier to recruit than its Darkness counter-

part. A bit lower levelled maybe, but still. Celebi only has about 140 HP, so

a strong attack should be sufficent to knock it out and hopefully, recruit it.

==================================

#491 DARKRAI [6.11]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #491

LOCATION: Miracle Sea B3F, Deep Crevice Cave B2F, Mt. Travail 17F, Spacial Rift

14F, Mystifying Forest 13F

TYPE: Dark

LEVEL: 53

ABILITY: Bad Dreams

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Very Hard

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT:

- You must have the Secret Slab or Mystery Part in your treasure bag.

- You must have the Marine Resort unlocked.

COMMENTS **SOME STORY SPOILERS**

---------------------------------

Of course, you end up battling Darkrai in the Dark Crater at some point. You

win as per usual and Darkrai tries to escape to a different time.

However, while he was in the time portal he created, Palkia shattered the way

which Darkrai tried to go and like your own character, Darkrai ended up losing

his memory. Considering that it was because of Darkrai that your own character

lost his/her memory in the first place, it's quite ironic.

Anyway, as "nobody knows where Darkrai went", Darkrai can actually be found

in a whopping five locations. No matter the game, it can be found in all five.

Just as long as you've got the Marine Resort unlocked.

I would personally recommend Miracle Sea B3F - it took me quite a few tries

to recruit Darkrai myself, but because B3F is so easy to get to it didn't

actually take me too long to do. You may want to be careful as Darkrai can

go through walls, despite not being a Ghost-type, so it can catch you off-guard.

Or accidents can happen. For example, the very first time I tried to recruit

Darkrai, it came through the wall. I had to walk forward to get it out of the

wall, but then my Raichu decided to kill it. No chance of recruiting that time.

But that's enough ranting. Basically, just go to any of the five locations,

have the item in your bag, and you should be able to find Darkrai on the floor

somewhere. But don't expect to recruit it first try.

===============================================================================

[7] WONDER MAIL LEGENDS [LRG007]

===============================================================================

Wonder Mail legendaries are the "guardians of the seven treasures." The seven

dungeons they lie in can ONLY be unlocked via Wonder Mail codes - they won't

appear on the Mission Board randomly or anything like that. There is also

an eighth dungeon with a Gabite called Labyrinth Cave, but that has nothing to

do with the legendaries.

The seven dungeons each hold an item that helps the recruitment rate of certain

types of Pokemon and they are all varying lengths. The seven dungeons where the

treasures are held are: Shimmering Desert, Giant Volcano, Sky Stairs, Bottomless

Sea, Mystery Jungle, Mt. Avalanche and The Great Hole. The amount of floors

varies from 10 to a whopping 50. None of these dungeons have interiors though.

The Wonder Mail passwords for these can be found in the Wonder Mail section.

Please note that I am not completely sure about the recruitment rate for these

Pokemon but based on personal experience I think that they all classify as

Very Easy. However, I highly recommend you bring a Golden Mask with you to

recruit them as going through 50 floors again is very trying on your patience.

In addition, the treasures you find have the same effect as the Golden Mask

or Amber Tear but only for one specific type.

******************************************************************************

There are no conditions for these Pokemon except for one - you cannot open the

letters you get from the Wonder Mails to find out about the dungeon until you

have at least rescued Scizor from Froslass in Crevice Cave.

******************************************************************************

After you defeat each of these Pokemon and claim the treasure, they may appear

afterwards again asking to join your team. If they don't reappear, then you'll

have to go back through the dungeon and defeat them again.

==================================

#144 ARTICUNO [7.01]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #144

LOCATION: Mt. Avalanche Summit

TYPE: Ice / Flying

LEVEL: 43

ABILITY: Pressure

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Very Easy

COMMENTS

--------

Articuno isn't too hard to get to, located after you go through a total of 19

floors of Mt. Avalanche. A Fire Pokemon is the obvious choice to go through

Mt. Avalanche and also defeat Articuno. Every time you defeat Articuno, you

will receive the Ice Flute, an item that increases the recruitment rate of

Ice types.

==================================

#151 MEW [7.02]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #151

LOCATION: Mystery Jungle Interior

TYPE: Psychic

LEVEL: 46

ABILITY: Synchronize

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Very Easy

COMMENTS

--------

Mystery Jungle is a grass-type filled dungeon with 29 floors as well as the

interior, so once again a Fire-type is recommended. Mew itself isn't very hard

to beat at all. For beating Mew you will get the Grass Cornet, an item which

increases the recruitment rate of Grass Pokemon.

==================================

#382 KYOGRE [7.03]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #382

LOCATION: Bottomless Sea Bottom

TYPE: Water

LEVEL: 49

ABILITY: Drizzle

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Very Easy

COMMENTS

--------

After a total of 49 floors you will find Kyogre in a place that just happens

to have a contradiction as its name. Lovely. But that doesn't exactly matter -

defeating Kyogre will net you the Aqua-Monica, an item which increases the

chance of recruiting Water Pokemon. You better hope Kyogre joins you though, as

going through 49 floors again is quite a pain.

==================================

#383 GROUDON [7.04]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #383

LOCATION: Shimmer Desert Interior

TYPE: Ground

LEVEL: 49

ABILITY: Drought

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Very Easy

COMMENTS

--------

Groudon is certainly the easiest Wonder Mail legendary to get to as Shimmering

Desert only has a total of 9 floors. Groudon itself isn't terribly strong but

of course it is stronger than the Groudon you faced back at Fogbound Lake all

that time ago. Just keep at it. Defeating Groudon will reward you with an

Earth Cymbal, an item that can increase the chance of recruiting Ground Pokemon.

==================================

#384 RAYQUAZA [7.05]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #384

LOCATION: Sky Stairway Summit

TYPE: Dragon / Flying

LEVEL: 49

ABILITY: Air Lock

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Very Easy

COMMENTS

--------

Rayquaza is the other legendary found after a 49 floor dungeon. Ice attacks will

work wonders but they aren't needed by any means. Defeating Rayquaza will earn

you a Sky Melodica, which increases the chance of recruiting Flying Pokemon.

==================================

#485 HEATRAN [7.06]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #485

LOCATION: Giant Volcano Summit

TYPE: Fire / Steel

LEVEL: 49

ABILITY: Flash Fire

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Very Easy

COMMENTS

--------

Heatran is fairly easy to get as Giant Volcano is only 19 floors, not including

the summit. Fire Pokemon are found by the dozen so you may want to bring a

Water type along with you. Be careful not to use Fire moves on Heatran as it

will do nothing except allow it to kill you a lot easier. Defeating Heatran

will reward you with the Fire Drum, an item which can help you recruit Fire

Pokemon.

==================================

#487 GIRATINA [7.07]

==================================

POKEDEX NUMBER: #487

LOCATION: World Abyss Interior

TYPE: Ghost / Dragon

LEVEL: 48

ABILITY: Pressure

RECRUITMENT DIFFICULTY: Very Easy

COMMENTS

--------

Giratina is in a fairly medium-sized dungeon, with a total of 29 floors to go

through before you reach Giratina. It appears to be the third in a Dialga and

Palkia trio and has the types and level to match. Target Giratina with Ghost,

Dragon or Ice moves if possible. Defeating Giratina will earn you an item called

the Rock Horn, which increases the recruitment rate for Rock Pokemon.

[9] FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS [LRG009]

===============================================================================

Questions that I've been asked in e-mails will be placed here.

Q: In order to get Manaphy and Marine Resort, you have to fight Darkrai? Where

do you find it?

A: Right at the end of the post-credits storyline you fight Darkrai at the

Dark Crater, after going through roughly 30 floors. You have to fight Darkrai

as well as five others at once.

===============================================================================

Finally, the last section of this FAQ. I don't have too many people to thank

this time around but alas, I'll include the ones that I do have some thanks

towards.

SEREBII.NET - One of the most comprehensive Pokemon sites on the web, the site's

ability to get news even from across the sea helped in getting the passwords

needed for the seven legendaries that need Wonder Mails. The vast amount of

information the site held also came in particuarly useful.

GAMEFAQS.COM - Thank you for hosting my FAQ and all that. Particuarly, thanks

to ZombieInfection, the writer of the Wonder Mail FAQ on GameFAQs. Without that

I probably wouldn't have been able to get the Midnight Forest and Shimmer Hill

passwords. So, thanks.

S2DARKRAIS2 - Someone who recently appeared on SerebiiForums bringing especially

useful Wonder Mails with him, including that one with the Golden Mask. He even

offered to rescue me quite recently actually, although someone else rescued me

instead. But thanks to him, Golden Masks aren't such a rarity anymore.

DRAGONFOXPAL & JJGILL (?) - Both of these people confirmed which Pokemon

did not require the Marine Resort to encounter. Thanks.
