Spider-Man PS4 Podcast: How to Unsubscribe From the J. Jonah Jameson Podcast in Spider-Man PS4

Insomniac’s first swing at a superhero game is filled with lots of cool nods and Easter eggs, such as the Spider-Man PS4 podcast. Once an esteemed, if growling, editor at the Daily Bugle, J. Jonah Jameson has done what anyone with a large mouth and an opinion would do these days: start a podcast. He even dares listeners (and the players) to unsubscribe from the Just The Facts podcast. As it turns out, you can do just that in a few easy-to-follow moves. Here’s to unsubscribe and turn off the Spider-Man PS4 podcast, should you wish. Take that, JJJ!

Spider-Man PS4 Podcast: How to Unsubscribe From the J. Jonah Jameson Podcast in Spider-Man PS4

If you’re sick of hearing J. Jonah Jameson’s voice, then you’d best get me pictures of Spider-Man, damnit! I mean, uhh, follow these steps:

  • Pause the game (that’s through the “Options” button on your Dualshock controller, not the touchpad) and head to “Settings.”
  • Lend me your ears: click “Audio”. It’s the second option down.
  • Scroll all the way down to the bottom. You’ll find a selection that says, simply, “JJJ Podcast.” You can turn it either Off or On, though it’s set to On by default. Turn it off, obviously, to finally achieve radio silence while you’re swinging around Manhattan.

If you turn it off, it appears that you will only stop the Spider-Man PS4 podcast from “automatically” playing. While J. Jonah Jameson only drops nuggets of wisdom and wider lore such as his complaints over the Vulture’s cancer treatment being a drain on city funds (seriously, dude?), there may be set moments where a podcast gets pushed through. However, that isn’t likely to be the case. Unsubscribing from Just the Facts should mean just that: you won’t have to listen to J. Jonah Jameson ever again. Unless you want to, that is.
