Sombra Demon Hunter Skin: How To Unlock Without BlizzCon Ticket

Yesterday, Blizzard announced on the official Overwatch Twitter page that they would be adding a brand new Sombra Demon Hunter skin to Overwatchbut with a catch. Apparently, the skin is only available to those who purchase a BlizzCon Virtual Ticket.

After yesterday’s BlizzCon stream, Blizzard announced on its official BlizzCon website that BlizzCon Virtual Ticket holders would be getting lots of exclusive loot for Blizzard titles, such as World of WarcraftStarcraftHearthstoneDiablo IIIHeroes of the Storm, and Overwatch. BlizzCon kicks off on November 2, but the loot is available for ticket holders to claim now. However, some of the loot isn’t actually exclusive—including Sombra’s Demon Hunter skin.

Sombra Demon Hunter Skin: How To Unlock Without BlizzCon Ticket

The BlizzCon post that detailed all of the exclusive content contains some very interesting information if you read the whole thing. At the very bottom, in italics. is the following statement:

The in-game items for Overwatch, StarCraft II, and StarCraft: Remastered will also be available separately in 2019—further details will be announced at a later date.

So, the Sombra Demon Hunter skin is exclusive for now, but won’t be forever. Apparently, if you wait until an unspecified date in 2019, it will become an ordinary unlock. Although players may not want to wait for such a long time, it’s refreshing to see that the skin won’t be a limited edition one that can’t be unlocked by people who don’t buy a ticket, or people who start playing Overwatch at a later date.
However, this is only the case for the three games mentioned in the quotation from the BlizzCon quotation. If people want access to the rest of the loot, and want to be able to tune in to Blizzard’s biggest annual event, it’s still well worth picking of a BlizzCon Virtual Ticket, which will allow you to join in on the action from the comfort of your own home.
