A new Pokemon Go Deoxys update has been confirmed. It was announced a little while ago that Deoxys would be coming to EX Raids in Pokemon Go in the near future. However, new leaks suggest that there have already been changes made to the Mythical Pokemon ahead of its release. This guide will break down the Pokemon Go Deoxys update, focusing on the new moves and stats for all four Formes of the powerful “DNA Pokemon.”

Pokemon Go Hub has reported leaks from Pokemon Go‘s Game Master file which include changes to all four Deoxys forms. The new move pools and stats for all Deoxys Formes are as follows:

The following list will have a quick rundown of Deoxys counters, using the concise guide provided by u/josechelon over at r/TheSilphRoad. All four types are resistant to Fighting-type and Psychic-type moves, and are weak to Bug-type, Ghost-type, and Dark-type moves. The reason the counters are different is because of a) the different stats between Formes, and b) the different movesets between Formes.

Deoxys’ Normal Forme has the highest max CP and most balanced stats of all four Formes. Good counters for Deoxys Normal are:
- Tyranitar
- Gengar
- Mewtwo
- Dragonite

Deoxys Speed doesn’t hit very hard, but it’s still pretty balanced, and it’s the second strongest Forme. Good counters for this fight are:

Deoxys Attack is the easiest Deoxys to beat, despite the fact that Deoxys Defense has a lower Max CP. It’s a glass cannon, and can be easily bested with the following counters:
- Tyranitar

- Mew
- Muk-Alola
- Houndoom

The lowest Max CP and a laughable Attack stat compared to the other Formes make Deoxys Defense easy to underestimate. This is the hardest Forme to beat, and even with seven players this could be a lost fight. Be sure to bring along all of these counters of possible:

- Rayquaza
- Scizor
- Houndoom
Overall, for all four Formes, Mewtwo, Tyranitar, Houndoom, and Gengar are by far the strongest counters. Of these four, Deoxys only carries super-effective moves against Gengar, who is much faster than three of Deoxys’ Formes. A strong Mewtwo and Tyranitar combination is almost essential to taking down Deoxys.
