It’s nearly time for Halloween which, for Guardians, means eagerly anticipating the Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost start date. The spooktacular event hasn’t been seen since the original Destiny, but it’s definitely returning this year, confirmed for October 2018. Away from that, we have a few tantalizing clues to pore over as to when the Destiny 2 Halloween event goes live. In addition to that, we’ll keep this page updated for the emergence of any Festival of the Lost rewards and quests…
Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost Start Date – When Will it Return?
Despite appearing in 2015 and 2016, the Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost event was nowhere to be seen for the game’s first year in 2017. For 2018, things are different. Bungie has confirmed via a post-Forsaken roadmap that October 2018 will include the return of the Halloween event… “with a twist.” Spooky.
Outside of that, Bungie has met fans’ cries with radio silence… until now. Recent months have seen both the Solstice of Heroes and the aforementioned Forsaken DLC both arrive on Tuesdays. Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost will continue in that tradition by kicking things off on Tuesday, October 16.
Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost Quests
No info has yet been revealed on the Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost quests, yet previous years opted for more fun activities, including but not limited to, collecting candy and masks, plus a bunch of other fun activities. We can expect the Sweet Memories quest, which involves collecting candy around the Tower, to make a return for the third time.
Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost Rewards
Again, we’ve heard nothing from official about Festival of the Lost Rewards, though we can expect an emphasis on spooky masks, Halloween emotes, fun consumables to get you in the Halloween spirit (past years included items such as Boxes of Raisins), and some terrifyingly stylish shaders.
