Battlefield 5 1.11 Update Patch Notes

Wondering what the new Battlefield 5 update is all about? It’s the Battlefield 5 1.11 update for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and it promises to change a whole lot about how you play the game, including a big shotgun buff which should bring it back up to its soldier-stopping potential. There’s also a whole host of bug fixes to coo over. As ever, we’ll zero in on the main changes below and, at the very end, present the full Battlefield 5 1.11 update patch notes for you to look at.

Shotgun buff

Yay! If you’re looking to use the shotty more often in Battlefield 5 then now is a good a time as any. A “balance change” has been included in 1.11, which means that shotguns are now more in line with their SMG cousins. Drop-off has been increased in general, while three shotguns now have an increased damage output. That now means using a shotgun is now a viable option in close-quarters combat, instead of the last-resort fallback it had degenerated into in recent months.

Bug fixes

The Practice Range bug, which sees players stuck when trying to “Redeploy” has now been squashed, as has The Last Tiger freeze in War Stories. No longer will you be unable to proceed after getting the “Reach German Forward Base” objective pops up.

There’s also a fix for the blasted End of Round Company Coin counter, which showed off massively deflated numbers instead of what you were actually getting. You can now rest easy in the knowledge that what you see is what you get.

Crash fixes

“Multiple crash fixes” have now been implemented but, perhaps most importantly for PC players, using DX11 should now not be such a stressful experience. That’s because moves have been made to make it more stable. Namely, DLSS has been disabled.
