Fortnite Season 8 Week 7 Challenges | Deal damage with a pickaxe

fortnite season 8 week 7 challenges

Up first we have this week’s Free challenges. The first one to know about is really simple. All you have to do is deal 100 damage to opponents with a pickaxe.

Yeah, it’s challenging to get up close and personal to someone who will be firing at you. If you fire back until you are close enough to melee them, however, you may only need a couple of hits to kill them off. Judging by the “opponents” tag too, this should be an accumulative challenge that doesn’t require you to deal 100 damage to a single opponent in the same match. Here’s hoping anyway.

Fortnite Season 8 Week 7 Challenges | Visit three Pirate Camps

fortnite season 8 week 7 challenges

Another Free challenge, and this one requires you to visit three Pirate Camps in a single match. These are dotted all over the map, and we have revealed where their locations are in the image above. Give it a look if you’re unsure of where to find them.

Be advised that other players will be heading to those same seven locations, so you may run into opponents while you try to complete this one. Be prepared for a firefight or two and, hey, coming across other players to shoot at may help you with some other challenges we have elaborated on below. Just a heads up for you.

Fortnite Season 8 Week 7 Challenges | Stage 1 — Visit Junk Junction and The Block

fortnite season 8 week 7 challenges

The third and final Free challenge for this week is a Staged one. It requires you to visit two named locations in a single match. As long as you aren’t terrible at Fortnite, and chances are that you aren’t, you should survive long enough to visit them. We’ve handily bullet pointed them below, so drop into a match and get this challenge completed by visiting two of those listed together.

  • Stage 1 Visit Junk Junction and The Block in a single match
  • Stage 2 Visit Pleasant Park and Dusty Divot in a single match
  • Stage 3 Visit Happy Hamlet and Snobby Shores in a single match

Fortnite Season 8 Week 7 Challenges | Deal damage to opponents from above

Now we’re on to those all-important Battle Pass challenges. The first one may seem easy, but it will be tough to complete. You are required to deal 500 damage to other players from above.

It is bad enough to deal 500 damage to some players at the best of times, but to do so from above could be a bit of a nightmare for you. The best way to do this is to attack opponents from ziplines or by positioning yourself on a building’s rooftop. Gliding down the former, or sniping from the latter, can get you some good hits and style points for good measure. Just make sure that you don’t do yourself harm with fall damage from either though, okay?

Fortnite Season 8 Week 7 Challenges | Search seven chests in Loot Lake or Snobby Shores

fortnite season 8 week 7 challenges

It’s time to go hunting for chests. This challenge requires you to find and search seven chests in Loot Lake or Snobby Shores. Much like the pickaxe challenge, this should be an accumulative challenge, so you won’t be expected to search seven chests in either location in a single match.

The best way to tackle this is to take your time, make sure you scout around buildings that you come across, and find those elusive ones tucked away in attics and the like. There’s good loot to be had from them after all.

Fortnite Season 8 Week 7 Challenges | Eliminate five opponents

fortnite season 8 week 7 challenges

Another one that sounds like a doddle, but it might not be if you don’t have your game face on. You need to kill five opponents in a different named location each time in order to successfully navigate this weekly challenge.

Again, there’s no requirement for you to eliminate five people in a single match, so don’t feel pressured to do so. The only thing you can’t do is take out an opponent in the same named location in different matches.

If you kill someone in, say, Loot Lake in one match, you can’t kill someone there again in the second match. The game will chalk that named location off your list, so it won’t count.

Fortnite Season 8 Week 7 Challenges | Zipline damage

fortnite season 8 week 7 challenges

The final Battle Pass challenge for this week is all about ziplines. To complete this one, you will need complete two sub-sections in this challenge. The first of these is to deal damage to opposing players while you are riding the zipline. The second requires you to damage enemies while they ride the zipline.

For the first sub-challenge, you can marry this with the “deal 500 damage to opponents” challenge. If you can get a two for one deal on this, you might as well make the most of it. Just make sure your aim is good enough while you’re flinging yourself down a zipline at speed.

The second half is likely to be a bit trickier. Opponents can jump up and around the zipline in order to avoid being hit. Again, take your time and line those shots up perfectly. If you do, you won’t have any issues completing this challenge to earn your rewards.
