Can’t leave the Dark Zone in The Division 2, huh? Not being able to escape the game’s PvP area without quitting entirely is a surprisingly common phenomenon in The Division 2. If you’re looking for a solution to the Division 2 can’t leave Dark Zone bug and want to exit via the gate in the DZ, then you’ve come to the right place. Here’s a fix for those unable to leave the Dark Zone in The Division 2
Why can’t I leave the Dark Zone in The Division 2?
First up, you should check out our guide on opening the gate in the Dark Zone, as that may help you further understand what the issue is and whether you can fix it via those means.
If that doesn’t work for you, then it may be because of the friends you keep. No, seriously. If you’ve joined a squad, as per Ubisoft’s recent Community Update, that involves one (or more) players having not completed the Dark Zone East Recon tutorial mission handed out by Senait Ezera after you’ve recruited her.
If you enter the Dark Zone while another person is midway through (or, worse still, hasn’t completed) the Dark Zone East Recon mission, then the game is going to go haywire and not recognize your squad’s ability to leave the Dark Zone.
The Division 2 Can’t Leave Dark Zone Fix
To fix any issues you may have with not being able to enter or exit the game’s trio of Dark Zones, you’re going to have to do one of the following two things:
Ensure everyone in your squad has completed the Dark Zone East Recon mission
Don’t join a squad with anyone who hasn’t completed the Dark Zone tutorial
As mean-spirited as the latter solution sounds, it’ll have to suffice until Ubisoft/Massive rolls out a further fix later in April.
